How will you be affected by the new tax?
From April 2022, a new tax on plastic packaging will be in place in the UK. At present, the tax will apply to plastic packaging components where the recycled content is less than 30%.
Technically, we will all be affected by the new tax as it will affect UK producers of plastic packaging, importers of plastic packaging, business customers of producers and importers of plastic packaging, and consumers who buy goods in plastic packaging in the UK.
