Applying sachets to backing cards at high speeds

Partners in Packaging have developed a modular design high speed tip-on application system, designed to glue sachets of cream and wipes/various items to backing cards, wallets and folded packs.

Developed by integrating our well proven R series servo pick and place denesting-placing system, we automatically feed a backing substrate, apply a peelable low melt adhesive, and place a sachet onto the card before folding up to two panels using plough fold units mounted on adjustable slide beds and we then apply a label. The packs are shingle stacked into pre-counted collations ready to be packed into boxes. This all happens at up to 150/min!

We start the process with heavy duty stainless steel machine frames

The first module includes the R Series rotary pick and place for feeding of the base card, Glue unit and second R Series for feeding the sachet/pack

The second module folds the base card into a wallet before a tamper evident label is applied and the third module stacks the packs for packing into cartons.

We have some very nice features including an extra large touch screen HMI to store different product recipes and colour coded lighting within the machine to denote the machine status.

Full height heavy duty macralon and stainless steel guard doors give total visibility of what’s happening inside the line including total visibility of the elctrical panel including all its electrickery!

Everything is kept nicely cool using heavy duty fans.
